Christmas Wonderland

As many of you know, Steven and I LOVE Christmas! This year is no different, only we had the fun of decorating our new house. Here are just a few pictures, I just don't have the right camera settings to do all of the lights justice:)

Jolly Days at the Children's Museum

Saturday we met up with Joe, Kim, and the boys to enjoy some time at the Children's Museum. We had so much fun. The boys are really amazing to see in there, they don't go very often, but they can remember all the details of the things they like the most! Kim and I both took tons of pictures, so be sure to check out our photo site to see all the pictures (http://www.mjaj4.shutterfly.com/)

Hey, these guys are our size!
We spent a lot of time in the Scienceworks area...I think all the boys loved the water!

Lost in the Dinosphere!

An Andrewasaurus :)

Dominic was so brave that he even tried Rock Climbing!! He made it halfway up the wall on his first try! Can't wait to see how far he goes the next time:)

Sir Cheeseball and Kim
Then we traveled to Egypt. Andrew wanted to take pictures, so we each posed for the other photographer...too bad my eyes were closed, I think he's gonna be a pro!

Yuletide Celebration

Since Steven and I started dating we have had the tradition of attending Yuletide Celebration. This year was no different and it was a FABULOUS show!! Unfortunately, you can't take photos during the performance, but imagine an evening of great music from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, a fun performance with "Rockin' Rory" from America's Got Talent, Maureen McGovern as the host, and a Liberace impersonator that was so true to the real Liberace that it was spooky. I wish I had a photo of the 'glamorous' outfits this man wore...
talk about Vegas in Indy:)

We did have a nice night to walk around the circle, which is so pretty at Christmas.
We hope you're enjoying your Christmas season!!

Columbus Christmas Parade

Steven and I joined the Sexton family in Columbus for the annual Columbus "Festival of Lights" Parade. This year they also combined the Christmas fireworks with the City Hall tree lighting. Although it was a little cold, we still had a lot of fun!! The parade has all the high school and middle school bands, lots of tractors, convertibles, and EVERYTHING has LIGHTS!! It's a great way to start the month of December! Keep watching the blog for pictures of our own Christmas wonderland. After almost a month of preparing, we finally have all of the lights and decorations up inside and outside of the house!

Getting ready to face the cold!

Yes, Virginia, it IS a trash truck!!

Pumpkin Carving

Steven and I were inspired by Joe, Kim and the boys so we tried our hands at 'fancy' pumpkin carving tonight. It was a lot of fun!! I don't know if the photos do them justice, but they are very cool out on our front porch. We have one more left to carve, so we'll update when that one is finished too! Enjoy!

Hoosier Hysteria?!?!

I know, I know...I'm a Boilermaker! BUT, this Boilermaker married a Hoosier and so our story takes us to Bloomington for Hoosier Hysteria. Now, you've heard that people from Indiana love basketball...but these people from Indiana LOVE basketball. I've gone to some "Mackey Magic" events during my college career, but I've never seen anything like this! The IU fans LOVE basketball and the history of their team.

I will say the bright spot for me, besides seeing that Steven was very happy we could go, was seeing the renewal of "the mop lady". Do you remember her? Long before I thought about going to Purdue, back in the days when Indiana was REALLY amazing and it was a treat to watch them play basketball on Channel 4...there was the mop lady and she introduced the "Farm Bureau Indiana presentation of IU Basketball". Well they brought her back, and I have a video, but for the life of me, I can't figure out the formatting for this blog and my camera, so if you'd like to see it, you can view it on our Dropshots page. Unfortunately, I didn't have the date set correctly, so look for the video of 1/7/07 (oops!!).

Beth and Josh get married :)

Yesterday we had the wonderful opportunity to attend the wedding of some very good friends! Beth and Josh were married in an outdoor wedding and thankfully we had a beautiful October day. Beth was stunning and we saw a lot of friends!

Kenny Fest 2009

After last year's poor sound from Lucas Oil Stadium at the Kenny Chesney concert, I had decided that I was not going to go back...until they announced that SUGARLAND was going to be there!! Steven and I had already decided that we definitely wanted to see them again! We had the chance to see them, Kenny, Miranda Lambert, the Zach Brown Band, and Montgomery Gentry (who I can't really stand).

Overall the concert was GREAT!!! We had excellent seats, the sound seemed better, and the mix of entertainers was good. This was also Kenny's last concert and he definitely got emotional during the last song of the night. I'm going to try to post a video (if I can figure that out) of one of my favorite songs "Me and You".

Little Nashville Opry

For Steven's birthday, I got him tickets to see Ricky Skaggs at The Little Nashville Opry. The concert was really good and it was our first time to got to the Little Opry. Little did we know that a month later the Little Nashville Opry would burn down (ironically the same night that we were at a concert at Lucas Oil Stadium). We're SO glad we had the chance to experience the gem that was The Little Nashville Opry
